There is a need for an academically-superior American boarding school in Taiwan. TAIS is a preparatory school designed for students who plan to attend American universities but lack either a foreign passport or the English levels required for effective study in an American high school environment.

TAIS offers this education program through the educational system of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Adventist schools in Taiwan have been providing Taiwanese 7^th-12^th grade education and American K-8^th grade education for more than 40 years.

TAIS is located on a beautiful 50 hectare campus which is surrounded by the breathtaking mountains of central Taiwan. It also boasts convenient access to beautiful Sun Moon Lake as well as the bustling town of Puli.
