【Admission】
1. Admission Levels: Grade 7 and Grade 10
2. Eligible Applicants:
Students who meet the requirements stated in Article 2 of the Regulations Regarding International Students Undertaking Studies in Taiwan, and whose nationality is listed among the visa-exempt countries announced by the Bureau of Consular Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, ROC.
【Application Procedure】
International students must submit the required documents in accordance with Article 18 of the above regulations by email to TAIS.
Required application documents:
1. Application Form(Download)
2. Two Letters of Recommendation (Download)
3. Official Transcript:
(1) 【Applying for Grade 7】:
- Official English transcript from the previous academic year or current semester grade report.
- Please have documents verified by the Taiwan Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in the originating country before submission.
(2) 【Applying for Grade 10】:
- Official English transcript or grade report from 9th grade:
(1) with separate reports for each semester.
(2) stamped or signed by the original school.
(3) with the applicant's name spelled as it appears on their passport.
(4) The official transcript must list grades and credits per subject (for U.S.-based systems) or the weekly class hours per subject (e.g., sessions per week and duration per session). Grades should be presented in numerical format. If grades are in letter format, provide the grading scale.
- If class hours cannot be listed on the transcript, a separate document or statement should outline the schedule (e.g., Math: 3 sessions/week, 45 mins each).
- If it is not possible to provide a separate explanation or certification, please attach the class schedule corresponding to the semester or academic year listed on the transcript to facilitate the credit recognition process.
- Please have documents verified by the Taiwan Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in the originating country before submission.
- Unofficial transcripts or those lacking official school authentication will be used for course planning purposes only, with the actual transferable credits confirmed after official transcripts are received

6. Interview appointment must be made at least two weeks in advance. Unscheduled online interviews will not be accepted.

After all required documents are received, TAIS will notify the applicant by email within two weeks regarding the online interview and English proficiency assessment schedule, which will be used as reference for course placement. Final admission decisions will be based primarily on the interview results.
【Admission Review and Visa Application】
Applications will be reviewed by the TAIS Admissions Committee. Applicants who pass the review will be issued an Official Letter of Acceptance.
With the acceptance letter issued by TAIS, international students must apply for a visa at the nearest Republic of China (Taiwan) overseas mission.
